Your second place finishers are Bowmanville folk/country quartet The Stone Sparrows.
It was only January 10 of last year when The Sparrows officially formed and played their first show at The Horseshoe Tavern in Toronto. Within the span of one year they went from obscurity to signing with Get Bent Records, releasing one of the most popular albums of the year (their self-titled debut), and playing shows in Durham, Toronto, Ottawa, Kingston, and Quebec.
Sam, Oliver, James, and Meghan play The Spill in Peterborough on February 11 and The Cadillac Lounge in Toronto on February 17 before heading out to Nova Scotia and Newfoundland this July.
