In addition to all the vendors, readers, and musicians performing at our Broken Arts Fair on March 3 we will also be running an art show.


specimen - a portion or quantity of material for use in testing, examination, or study (Meriam Webster online dictionary)

Artists are asked to interpret, express, and/or define “specimen” in any medium of their choosing. Size: no larger than 12x12 inches and no deeper than a foot. Size restraints are due to the unpredictability of the number of submissions and space limitations but, if you have an explosive idea you are itching to get out, we can discuss it.

Please submit in digital form a sample (if its complete, even better!) of your entry by February 13. Details of size and a short description of your idea or intention are appreciated and strongly suggested.

Artists whose entries are agreed upon will be asked to bring their pieces on the date of the fair to help set up and to take them down at the end of the day. More details will follow after the 13th.
